RRR (Hindi) had an extraordinary hold on Monday with collections being pretty close to the first day which itself was a good first day number. The film collected a post pandemic record for Monday with around 16.5-17 crore nett taking the four day total to around 91 crore nett plus. The Monday collections are easily higher than THE KASHMIR FILES and SOORYAVANSHI.

The business on Monday reached the Friday range at many places with the 25% drop in NCR and Punjab being the biggest drop and this was not even a drop on Monday. Gujarat, CP Berar, CI, Rajsthan, Bihar etc were all practically at similar levels to Monday or slightly down. There were individual centres which actually had better numbers on Monday.  

The hold on Monday becomes extraordinary as its a mass film and not a content type of film where you can get Mondays being similar to Friday or higher. It did look that the 200 crore nett plus number it needed from Hindi theatrical for recovery may be tough due to the occupancy at multiplexes being lower than it should be at many places over the weekend. However, Monday has changed all that and it will be smooth sailing from here on.
