Ranveer Singh will visit the India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai on Sunday as part of the Media & Entertainment fortnight. Sources say the actor will be representing the Indian entertainment industry and will join Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, for important meetings, including an in-depth conversation about the media industry.

A source informs, “Ranveer has taken a day off from his hectic schedule to fly to Dubai as India’s representative. Apart from meetings, he will also join Anurag Thakur for a fun conversation.”

Ranveer, who has starred in commercially successful and critically-acclaimed films like Band Baaja Baaraat, Lootera, Padmaavat, and 83, is expected to discuss his films, his acting process and how he gets into the skin of these characters. The actor will attend a dinner hosted by Aman Puri, Consul General of India, Dubai, where eminent personalities from Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to be present. He will also be felicitated by the I&B Minister for his contribution to the Indian film industry.

Last week, S S Rajamouli, NTR Jr, and Ram Charan discussed their film at the India Pavilion, while in another session, Shekhar Kapur discussed how technology has changed cinema viewing patterns.

The I&B Minister is on a three-day visit to Dubai till March 28, as part of the Media & Entertainment fortnight at the India Pavilion, where he will attend the CEO roundtable with cinema and TV industry chiefs and meet with his counterparts from other countries.
