Valimai (Hindi) has a great story and it could have been in the league of Dhoom and other memorable films in this space. Ajith Kumar’s entry is splendid and a few scenes in the first half are excellent and clapworthy. However, the script is weak and the film is too long. After a point, the film ceases to be interesting. A few scenes are laughable and the villains are caricatures. Ajith Kumar’s performance is great and adds to the film’s star power. Kartikeya Gummakonda is over the top. Huma Qureshi, Bani J and Pearle Maaney are fine. The others are strictly okay. All in all, Valimai (Hindi) is a disappointment.
