PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) crossed the business of '83 in Hindi circuits over the last weekend with collections of 85 crore nett from all circuits outside South India. The equivalent figure for '83 is only 81 crore nett. These figures do not include numbers from South India as the Hindi version of PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 was hardly playing in South India where regional versions dominated. Also these figures do not include regional versions of PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 in the Hindi circuits.  

The figures below are like for like and from North, East, West and Central India and show how PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 has scored over '83 in these regions despite being a South Indian film. East Punjab is the worst circuit for PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 as these type of films hardly have a chance here. But PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 in week five in the most Northern cities where films release like Pathankot and Jammu was collecting more than '83 in week four.

The point to note is that the collections of PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 in Jammu and Pathankot are poor in week five but they are still higher than the fourth week of '83. These are centres that just dont care for South films barring some franchise or brand value. So this is more reflective of the dud business of 83 rather than PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 scoring.

Another shocker is West Bengal where again South films have little value and is a cricket loving state but still PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 went past 83 on Sunday and will now comfortably beat it in West Bengal. This is again reflective of the poor content of '83 and nothing else as no way in West Bengal should a South film beat a big Hindi film like '83 especially as its a film based on cricket and the state loves its cricket.
