'83 (Hindi) collected 4-4.50 crore nett on in its second Friday which is a drop in the 10% region from the previous day. There was no new release and it was New Years Eve and it still has huge showcasing; so there was an opportunity to jump a little in collections or at least stay flat.

Like the second week, the film also has an open field ahead of it if cinemas stay open but the film is not really going to benefit hugely like a PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 as the film has not been liked. The film is looking to be one of those rare films to lose over 50 crore as it heads for a India theatrical share of around 50 crore. A few months back, SOORYAVANSHI got over the line with a small plus with similar costs but that film had higher recovery from digital, sattellite and music and also the India share was 50 crore more than '83.

The other 50 crore plus losers that come to mind in recent times are BOMBAY VELVET and ZERO though for the latter, the losses are there as you have to give Shahrukh Khan a remuneration value; without that even ZERO has no losses.

There was a Mumbai terror threat which lead to cinemas being shut which possibly hit the film a little but it was the same for PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) and that film looks unaffected. There is a holiday on Saturday and lets see if it can take a huge jump there.
