SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME continued to do strong business on day three as it collected 26-26.5 crore nett. The film gained around 30% from Friday as multiplexes across the country showed solid gains. The film remains better in the South compared to Hindi markets but the gap now is not as big in day one. Still this film would have done far more in Hindi circuits pre pandemic than it has now.

The three day business of the film is the highest so far pre pandemic as it beat SOORYAVANSHI though PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 will beat the numbers of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME. SOORYAVANSHI was a one language release while the others are multiple languages..

SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME has accumulated 79 crore nett up on the board already and will easily top the 100 crore nett mark in its extended weekend and then its about the Monday hold. The film has done huge business but still that Monday hold is crucial as although even a 50-55% drop on Monday from Friday would still mean big results but a stronger hold will allow the film to score well over Xmas and have a shot at the 200 crore nett mark.

The business of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME till date is as follows.
Thursday - 32,75,00,000 apprx
Friday - 20,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 26,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 79,00,00,000 apprx

SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME is cruising to a $500 million plus worldwide opening weekend which means it may well become the biggest post pandemic worldwide grosser in just a week as the Xmas holidays start on Monday across US and Europe.

These collections are insane and interestingly, they would have been higher as Europe has been affected by the new Coronavirus threat which would have kept some of potential audience away. This threat is likely to get bigger in the coming Xmas and New Year period but as long as cinemas stay open, there is always going to be an audience for such a film.

India recorded the fifth highest opening in International markets though with AVENGERS: ENDGAME, it was the fourth best after United Kingdom, South Korea and Mexico which was one place better. The India business should have been 30% more if Hindi circuits were like pre pandemic and that would have meant $7 million gross instead of $5.5 million. This would have meant third place in international markets.

The South Korean box office seems to be suffering even worse than India while UK has also been hit despite huge numbers as pre pandemic it would have led the international markets by a margin.

The top ten openings of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME in overseas markets is as follows. All figures are GROSS.

2. United Kingdom - $7.65 million (INR 57 crore)
