Riteish Deshmukh is all set to direct his maiden Marathi venture. He had made his debut in Marathi films as an actor with Lai Bhaari, which was directed by Nishikant Kamat. He later went on to produce Faster Fene.

While the title of his directorial is under wraps, he has started shooting for it. The movie will be produced by Riteish and also features him as one of the central characters. The prep for the film had been on for the last few months. In fact, he was juggling it while he shot for Sanjay Gupta’s Visfot with Fardeen Khan in Mumbai.

Talking about Riteish’s Marathi film, a source says, “The shooting has just begun. As a producer, director and actor on the project, he has multiple things to look into. Hopefully, it will be shot in a single schedule and released next year. It’s a very special story and something that prompted him to venture into direction.”
