PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 (Hindi) remained rock steady on Tuesday with collections in the 3.75 crore nett range. The film is doing phenomenal business in mass pockets in some parts of the country. The business in multiplexes is better on the weekdays than it was over the weekend. Even in North India, the film is holding over weekdays though at very low levels.

The total business of the film is now almost 20 crore nett and it should end the week with 26-27 crore nett. The film has a chance of become a HIT which is a rarity for a dubbed film from the South. There was BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and 2.0 but those films were franchise films and the latter had Akshay Kumar which was a huge plus for Hindi circuits. BAAHUBALI: THE BEGINNING was the last HIT without these added advantages. There was also SAAHO but that was not actually a dubbed film but a bilingual film.

Then there were some successful films like KABALI and KGF 1. These two films also did very well in Maharashtra but the difference here is that PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 is also doing fantastic business in Gujarat which the other two did not. This should propel PUSHPA: THE RISE - PART 01 to a higher total with the obstacle being competition of 83 from Friday onward.
