'83 (Hindi) saw another fall in collections on Wednesday but in reality this fall is not too bad as Delhi city was shut. The film collected around 5.50 crore nett on Wednesday and although the collections of the film look down the actual fair value fall is just around 5%.

This probably does not mean much in the bigger picture but collections are reasonably steady in the metros and a few other big centres. As the collections in mass pockets drop out, the film can find a level it can hold at especially now as it as an open week for the film. Also this can allow the film to take some advantage of the holiday weekend to come and get some decent collections in terms of what it has done so far. 

GULLY BOY picked up 40 crore nett post its first week and here 83 will get a free run in holiday weekend and if it can get collections here and cinemas remain open then it has chances to to do similar to GULLY BOY post the first weekend. 

Of course it is all about cinemas remaining open as there is fear in the industry that its just a matter of time when more states start to down shutters like Delhi city. The first week collections of the film will be 68-69 crore nett which is poor especially for Christmas week.
