Rakul Preet Singh has made a mark in the Hindi film industry in recent years and also has an impressive fan following in the South film industry. Her upcoming line-up of films includes several projects in Bollywood. However, things weren’t always easy for the actress when she started her journey. Rakul admits that she gave numerous auditions before getting a break and is grateful to have met the right people on her journey. She realises that not everyone gets the same opportunities or support to chase their dreams in Bollywood despite having the talent.

Keeping this in mind, Rakul has launched StarringYou, an app that bridges the gap between artistes and their dreams. It helps aspirants overcome the hurdle of physical distances and boundaries by providing a single platform where they can audition from anywhere at ease.

She says, “The app will help aspiring actors, directors, editors, writers, dancers, choreographers and other professionals in India and across the globe, create their profiles with relevant information pertaining to their field. This will create a detailed database at a single destination.”

She adds, “With StarringYou, we are looking at building an ecosystem, which is a one-stop destination for all the aspiring talent we have in the country and globally. The app will have various divisions and tie-ups with music, casting, media and production houses. We’ll be working on different aspects. Our aim is to build creative partnerships with talented individuals that are looking for a platform to showcase their work.”
