The year 2021 has been kind to Adarsh Gourav. After becoming the toast of the town, thanks to his gripping performance in The White Tiger earlier in the year, the actor quickly bagged Zoya Akhtar’s production Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. His act in the Ramin Bahrani-directed satire not only earned him a BAFTA nomination for the Best Leading Actor, but also made the international film circuit sit up and take notice. The acclaim appears to be translating into enviable offers — it is heard that Adarsh has landed the lead role in an international action film and has winged his way to New York.

Before he faces the camera for the actioner, he will have to attain a muscular frame. A source reveals, “Adarsh has begun prepping for his role by kickstarting his physical transformation. He has been training regularly for the past few months, supplementing it with a strict diet. He has gained about seven kilos, but his target is to pile on 10 kilos.”

Gourav’s next few months are dedicated to the coming-of-age drama, which sees him share screen space with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.
