MUMBAI SAGA collected 1.50 crore nett on Monday which is a 45% drop
from day one. The film really had to collect near to its day one total
but that is not really going to happen in the present situation. The
Monday number is better than last weeks ROOHI.
There was a new rule implemented in Mumbai where malls had to
have random tests for Coronavirus but the collections of the film in Mumbai
have not dropped much more than other circuits. Mumbai tends to drop a
little more on Monday anyway. Also its difficult to say how this testing
has been implemented on the ground. Rajasthan also saw night curfews in
many cities from yesterday
The film has collected 10 crore nett till date and is probably heading
for a first week total of around 14 crore nett which will be a little
short of the ROOHI's seven day business which was 14.50 crore nett. It
remains to seen where MUMBAI SAGA goes from here but the target is
probably to get over the 20 crore nett mark. This can only happen if the
restriction situation remains as it is but if more places get
restrictions then business will only get hit further.
The first four
day collections of MUMBAI SAGA are as follows.
Friday - 2,75,00,000
Saturday - 2,25,00,000
Sunday - 3,50,00,000
Monday - 1,50,00,000
TOTAL - 10,00,00,000
