Rahul Roy, who suffered a brain stroke last year, has been recuperating well at home. On his birthday yesterday, he shared a video on social media where he was seen going for a walk and addressing fans. Talking about his health, the original Aashiqui actor said, “I am doing well. It will take two to three months more for me to recover fully and then hopefully, I will be able to talk properly and get back to work.” Rahul, who faces difficulty while talking post the stroke, is undergoing speech therapy. The actor, who can’t talk for too long, is often assisted by his brother-in-law Romeer Sen to converse.

The latter revealed how Rahul spent his birthday yesterday with close friends. “Rahul got a lot of calls and answered each one. He could speak for only a few seconds and would hand over the phone to me. He is feeling blessed after receiving so much love. He is hoping to get well soon, not just physically, but wants to speak clearly and then get back to work.”

Romeer added that the actor was exercising regularly to boost his fitness levels. “Rahul begins the day with yoga and then does shoulder and breathing exercises. He walks five kilometres daily and goes up and down 12 flights of stairs to build stamina. His sister, Priyanka, also ensures that Rahul follows a healthy diet. Rahul turned 55 and at that age, we are happy that he is recuperating so well. He is also active on social media and shares all his posts on his own.”
