He made his Bollywood debut with Hulchul in 1971 and from there on it’s been nearly five decades that Kabir Bedi has been entertaining us in Bollywood, be it with his performances in movies as an actor or with his deep baritone in ad commercials and dubbed movies. The actor, who turned 75 on January 16, celebrated his birthday with his family and close friends. “Since a few days I have been hosting these fun sessions, in small groups, over lunch and dinner at an open-air Italian restaurant by the sea in Mumbai. Big celebrations are out, so lots of mini celebrations this year (smiles!),” he revealed.
The actor enjoys having conversations with his buddies from his theatre and advertising days at these special events. “I have hosted birthday bashes in Rome, London, Los Angeles and other parts of the world. I don’t believe in hosting theme parties. I believe in intimate meetings and interacting with people at a human level. I enjoy reconnecting with my long lost buddies,” he said.
The actor also revealed his special plan for his landmark year. He said, “I always wanted to write a book on my life. And I am glad to say that it’s in process. I will be sharing the most important stories of my life through the book and it should be launched this year.” Bedi, reportedly, began writing his autobiography during the lockdown last year.
