Wishes poured in from B-Towners congratulating Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli on the arrival of their baby girl yesterday. The cricketer took to social media to announce the news. “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes,” he wrote. “Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time (sic),” added Virat, who is currently on paternity leave.

“Welcome to the best phase of your lives @anushkasharma @virat.kohli (sic),” wrote Neha Dhupia, while Madhuri Dixit said, “Congratulations @virat.kohli @anushkasharma. May god shower his choicest blessings on you & your little angel (sic).” Riteish Deshmukh, Bipasha Basu, Rakul Preet Singh and Ishaan Khatter were also among those who wished the new parents.

Anushka and Virat, who had tied the knot in December 2017, had posted a picture on social media in August last year to announce the pregnancy. “And then we were three! Arriving Jan 2021,” they had said.
