Actor Arjun Rampal has sought time till December 22 to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for enquiry into the Bollywood drugs case, agency officials said on Wednesday.

Rampal was earlier questioned by the NCB on November 13. Both Rampal and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades were earlier issued summons by the NCB to join the investigation then. Gabriella was questioned twice by the NCB.

On November 9, the NCB had conducted a search at Capri Heights in Bandra, where Rampal lives. The probe team also seized some electronic gadgets for analysis and medicines that required prescription. A driver working for Rampal was also quizzed by the agency on November 9. Rampal had then provided prescription to the agency.

In October, Agisialos Demetriades, brother of Gabriella, was arrested by the NCB in a drug case. The NCB had then seized a small quantity of hashish and alprazolam tablets, which are both banned narcotic drugs, from him.

Later, Demetriades was arrested in another case involving a Nigerian national named Omega Godwin, who was arrested by the NCB on charges of supplying cocaine.
