Mirror had previously reported (September 3) that Vicky Kaushal and Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar, are teaming up for a comedy, and that the Vijay Krishna Acharya-directorial will flag off by the first week of November. On Wednesday, Vicky posted a picture from his vanity van and captioned it “Shubh Arambh”, hinting at new beginnings. The yet-untitled film is being shot in a first, 18-day schedule at a Mumbai studio.

“Contrary to speculations, it is not being filmed at YRF as that studio is blocked for Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan,” revealed a source close to the development, adding that the urban comedy is a new genre for both Vicky and Manushi. “It’s a film that speaks about equality and celebrates the unity in diversity in Indian cultures. It’s a frothy entertainer, with lots of laughs and a social message.”

Before starting the film, Manushi wrapped up the Akshay Kumar-starrer Prithviraj, in which she portrays the character of Samyukta, the princess of Kannauj.
