Taapsee Pannu recently took off to the Maldives for a vacation with her sister Shagun, cousin Evania and rumoured beau Mathias Boe. After returning to Mumbai, she is back on set to complete a schedule of Haseen Dilruba. Speaking about the holiday, which was widely talked about thanks to the envy-inducing posts on her social media handles, Taapsee says, “When I started shooting for my Tamil film last month, I knew that I had a week’s break between that movie and Haseen Dilruba’s schedule. It’s been a practice for me to take a little holiday between two projects as it helps me rejuvenate.”

The actress further adds, “The present situation is such that one has limited options to choose from. This destination was a quick flight away, and since it had just opened up, it wasn’t crowded. Before the trip, it felt like we would never get close to experiencing the kind of normalcy we did before the pandemic. By the time I travelled, I had also begun to work, so it made me feel like I was getting close to the normal way of life.”

Apart from the holiday pictures, Taapsee’s Biggini Shoot video, in which she was seen with her sister, cousin and also included a special appearance by Mathias, went viral. Bring up the video, and she breaks into giggles, before saying, “It was Evania’s idea. She was obsessed with that track created by Yashraj Mukhate. Though I knew of the videos that people have made on this track, I had never thought of making one myself. So, we thought let’s do this our own way, and the destination just lent itself beautifully to it; the three of us were in our bigginis (laughs!).”

Bring up Mathias’ cameo in the song, and Taapsee says, “It was difficult to convince him, but I am glad he agreed. He was that one-take artiste, who allowed us to take only that one shot, which we reused in the video.”
