In a late-night development yesterday, actress Payal Ghosh made allegations against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, accusing him of sexual assault. She wrote on social media, “@anuragkashyap has forced himself on me and extremely badly. @PMOIndia @narendramodi ji, kindly take action and let the country see the demon behind this creative guy. I am aware that it can harm me and my security is at risk. Pls help! (sic).”

Payal, who has been a part of South films and has also acted in the Bollywood film, Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi, first made the allegations during an interview with a TV channel. She shared the link of the interview, along with her social media post.

Replying to her tweet, Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, wrote, “You may send me the detailed complaint at chairperson-ncw@nic.in and @NCWIndia will look into it (sic).” Anurag had not responded to Payal’s allegations till the time of going to press.
