The Marathi TV industry, that was slowly limping back to its feet, suffered a setback recently when around 20-22 members of a new mythological show, Aai Mazi Kalubai, tested positive for Coronavirus. According to a source, popular veteran actress, Ashalata Wabgaonkar was the only one among the cast to test positive. The rest are crew members. Most of them are asymptomatic and have been home quarantined.

“The test results came out around a week ago. Asha ji was critical till around three days ago. She was in hospital and put on ventilator support. Alka ji (Alka Kubal) who is her friend, co-actor and also the show’s producer, was with her. The others are recuperating well and even Asha ji is on the path to recovery,” informed the source, adding that after a mandatory halt according to government guidelines, the team has resumed shooting from Monday in Mumbai.
