Mumbai: Shruti Modi, manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, reportedly told Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials the actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty had been taking decisions on his behalf though she was the manager.

ED on Monday questioned actress Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and their father Indrajit for around 10 hours in a money laundering case linked to Rajput’s alleged suicide. The Chakrabortys came to the ED office at Ballard Estate around 11 am and left around 9 pm. Shruti Modi and content manager Siddharth Pithani were also questioned. ED sources said with the help of technology, they have transferred all the data from Rhea’s mobile phone and hope to retrieve even deleted information. The mobile phones of Rhea’s brother and father have also been taken for examination.

Sources said Showik was non-cooperative, prompting them to subject him to questioning for 18 hours on Saturday. The ED may call Rhea and her family members for another round of questioning after examining the collected evidence. Sources stated Rhea denied using Rajput’s money to purchase any assets. The ED is looking into allegations that Rs 15 crore was siphoned off from Rajput’s account before his death. The ED is probing all the financial transactions of Rajput and will also gather details from his friend and film producer Sandip Singh.

It is stated apart from other transactions, Rs 2.5 crore was transferred from Rajput’s account for GST and tax payments. Earlier, ED had recorded the statement of Rajput’s CA, Sandeep Shridhar, regarding the transaction.

ED is examining the details of two companies where Rajput was director along with Rhea and her brother.
