Anupam Kher spoke about his acting journey in a special class that he recently hosted for drama students at New York University

Anupam Kher has been making the most of his time in New York, USA. The veteran actor, who is currently dabbling between the Hindi film industry and the entertainment industry in the West, has more than 500 films to his credit, including several international projects. To share anecdotes and impart lessons on his craft and his career spanning almost four decades, he recently hosted a special acting class at New York University. He spoke to students from the third year class in the Meisner Studio in the Department of Undergraduate Drama of the Tisch School of the Arts, New York.

Earlier, the actor had interacted with students at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom and Columbia University, United States. He has often expressed that he enjoys sharing his life and career experiences with individuals from different walks of life.

Kher, who is currently part of a medical drama, New Amsterdam, opened up about how films and acting happened to him and where it has taken him today. He further revealed that several ideas which he gave to the students were given to him by his grandfather. Talking about his experience of interacting with the students at NYU, the actor says, “It was fantastic to speak to such brilliant students at New York University. They are all so bright and talented. It was a pleasure to share with them my experience with movies and the love for my craft. I hope it helps them in the long run.”
