In 2020, Shraddha Kapoor returns to familiar territory with two franchises—Street Dancer 3D, in which she faces off with Varun Dhawan and Nora Fatehi, and Baaghi 3, opposite Tiger Shroff. “I love learning different forms of dance and it made the experience of working on Street Dancer even more enriching. You will see me dance my heart out in the film,” she gushes.
The dance flick, which releases on the Republic Day weekend—a first for the actress—has a patriotic angle to it. Quiz her about it and she says, “It is an interesting story built around a healthy competition between two teams from two countries. We all know that public interest is at its peak even during an India-Pakistan cricket match, so I am really excited about our film.”
In Baaghi 3, Shraddha reunites with Tiger after playing the female lead in the first instalment. This time, she is reportedly upping the ante with stylised stunts. Elaborating on the extensive physical prep that both of her upcoming films entailed, Shraddha shares, “For Street Dancer, I had to train in a lot of dance forms, and for Baaghi 3, I trained in Judo and mixed martial arts. I am just happy that I got trained by the best in the industry.”
