Over a fortnight ago, Shahid Kapoor, who was in Chandigarh shooting for the second schedule of his next film in which he plays a cricketer, was hurt during a rehearsal shot. A ball unexpectedly hit him on his lower lip leaving him with a wide gash that needed 13 stitches. Wife Mira Rajput then flew to be by the actor’s side and the couple had later returned to their Mumbai home. Now, Shahid is back in Chandigarh to shoot for Jersey.

Talking about it, producer Aman Gill says, “Shahid is a thorough professional and didn’t want to waste any time. He took proper treatment and has returned without any delay. His energy and dedication are admirable.”

Shahid, too, thanked his fans on social media as he headed back to the sets, with a post on Instagram, “Thank you for all your wishes. The torn lip is still a bit raw but doesn’t show much now. So, back on the set.”

He also posted stories with a picture of himself in his car on the way to the airport. While Shahid’s lips look swollen in the picture, there are no visible signs of injury, indicating he’s on his way to recovery. The film’s first schedule was shot throughout December in the biting cold of Chandigarh and the team hopes to finish the second schedule within two weeks.
