Veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee’s daughter, Payal Mukherjee, passed away on Friday. She was 45 and suffering from Type 1 diabetes. She was in a coma since 2018.

Last year, Moushumi and her husband Jayant Mukherjee went through a bitter court battle with son-in-law, Dicky Sinha, alleging that he and his family were neglecting Payal, refusing to pay her medical bills and preventing them from meeting her.

Condoling the actress, Tusshar Kapoor tweeted: “Saddened to hear of the demise of Payal Chatterjee. Have seen her a lot in my childhood days. Deepest condolences to Moushumi Chatterjee ji and family.”
