MARDAANI 2 collected around 3.50-3.75 crore nett on its first day with the film picking up in the evening as the morning numbers suggested a 2.75 crore nett number. It is still a low number and it has to show big gains over the weekend. MARDAANI, released in 2014, had a similar first day number.

The plus for the film is West Bengal where the film picked up 30 lakhs nett which is very good number for this film and is as much as East Punjab which is double of West Bengal in terms of ratio. The other place where it did well was Maharashtra which is pretty much the trend of the last film. The mass centres of West Bengal and Maharashtra are pretty decent while obviously its multiplexes in these pockets driving the film. Mumbai circuit collected around 1.35 crore nett. The film should grow well on Saturday as its mainly a multiplex film.

JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL had a pretty good first day collecting around 5-5.25 crore nett adding to the 1.10 crore nett paid previews takings it total to around 6.25 crore nett. The film was easily the best collecting film of the week as it beat the MARDAANI 2 numbers all over barring West Bengal where it collected just 60% of MARDAANI 2.

The other two releases were poor with THE BODY managing around 50-60 lakhs nett while MUDDA 370 J&K was a total washout, not even collecting 10 lakhs nett
