MARDAANI 2 had a decent first weekend of around 18 crore nett with strong growth on Saturday. The Sunday growth of 20% was pretty decent as well for a film like this. MARDAANI in 2014 had a weekend of 14.50 crore nett so this film is 25% better though the opening level was only 10% better..

It remains to be seen where the film holds on Monday and it will have to be very strong as the business after week one will not be that strong due to the competition. The film has fared very well in West Bengal with collections of 1.50 crore nett plus while Mumbai is also pretty good with good contributions from Mumbai city and Pune. Mumbai is around 6.75 crore nett with the Mumbai city and Pune contribution being over 50%. North is below the mark but that is expected for this type and on top there is no cast.
