Divya Dutta, who won the National Award for the Best Supporting Actress in her film Irada (2018), is now looking forward to hosting the National Awards ceremony this year.

The actor who has earlier hosted the award ceremony twice is thrilled to be part of the prestigious program once again. While she hosted the awards for two consecutive years with actors Ashutosh Rana and Jaaved Jaaferi, this year, actor Sonali Kulkarni will be her co-host.

Dutta says, “Last year, the excitement was different as I went to the stage to pick up my award. This year, I would be cheering for all the winners and be part of their celebration. ”

Talk about how the National Awards ceremony is different from other awards functions, Dutta states, “The National Awards ceremony is known for its cultural performances and one has to maintain dignity and decorum. Since the winners are announced in advance, it will be about the proud moment of seeing yourself with that medal on stage. I was very excited to get mine.”
