Chitrangda Singh has always been appreciated for her prowess as an actor. She has been part of a host of memorable films, like Yeh Saali Zindagi, Desi Boys and Inkaar, which have cut across genres.

The actor has also repeatedly proved that she has an excellent sense of the broader processes of film- making. Her maiden production, Soorma, which earned success, is testimony of her talent.

Soorma revolved around the life of hockey legend Sandeep Singh, and featured Diljit Dosanjh in the leading role, alongside Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi. The film captivated movie lovers and sports buffs, alike.

Now, as though she is offering cinephiles a delightful surprise at the end of the year, Chitrangda is set to take the Soorma franchise forward with a sequel. The plot of the second movie, we hear, is going to be inspired by a real-life hero, just like the first film was. The movie will have a strong emotional quotient too.

A source close to the actor says, “Chitrangda has always been drawn to strong scripts. Soorma 2 will be no different. She believes that a film’s success is dependent on a good set-up. She is zeroing in on the rest of the details pertaining to the film. It should be ready to go on the floors soon.”
