In May, Disha Patani had teased fans and followers with a picture from the shoot of her upcoming film, Malang, in which she and co-star Aditya Roy Kapur posed in diving suits. “Training for something special,” she had added. Now, Mirror has learnt that the actor-duo was prepping for an extended underwater kissing sequence in the film.

According to a source close to the development, director Mohit Suri had sent the actors packing for two days of prep in May ahead of the shoot. “The sequence required Disha and Aditya to be under water for at least a minute, so the training focused on strengthening lung capacity,” informed the source, adding that the sequence was shot during the Goa schedule of the film in a day. “It was difficult to shoot in one take as Aditya and Disha had to sync their breathing patterns.”

Last month, the actors, who are teaming up for the first time with Malang, which features Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu in negative turns, revealed their first looks from the film on the social media. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Luv Ranjan, the film also marks a reunion for Aditya and Mohit after Aashiqui 2 in 2012. Meanwhile, Disha recently reunited with her Baaghi 2 co-star Tiger Shroff to shoot for a special dance number in the third instalment of the franchise, while Aditya revealed the title and first poster of his next, Anurag Basu’s Ludo, on Friday.
