The actress will end her sabbatical with a movie featuring Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia

Bhagyashree’s son, Abhimanyu Dassani, who made his Bollywood debut earlier this year with Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, is all set to kick-off the second schedule of his next, Nikamma, in Lucknow today. The Sabbir Khan-directorial also marks Shilpa Shetty’s comeback to films after a self-imposed sabbatical of 12 years. Her last film was Anil Sharma’s Apne with the Deols in 2007.

The actress, along with the action-entertainer’s leading lady, debutante Shirley Setia, and the rest of the ensemble cast, including Abhimanyu Singh, who plays the antagonist, will join the leading man on Thursday for a 45-day marathon schedule in the City of Nawabs. They will shoot the romance and dramatic portions in real-locations in the city and the neighbouring towns of Hardoi and Malihabad over the next month and a half.

As part of his prep for the film, that is produced by Sabbir and Sony Pictures International Productions, Abhimanyu has been training with experts. But, unlike his debut film, the action here is in the commercial space. Post the Lucknow schedule, the team will reunite in Mumbai in February. They have already shot two songs in the Maximum City.
