Suniel Shetty has quietly started shooting for a Hollywood film titled Call Centre, directed by American-Chinese filmmaker Jeffery Chin, in Hyderabad. The English film is reportedly inspired by the true story of an Indian cop who took down a multi million-dollar call centre scam and features the actor as the Sikh officer, the rest of the cast being a mix of Indian and American actors.

“The premise revolves around four guys who worked at a call centre in India and robbed a US-based company of $381 million. While American agencies were involved in the investigation, it was the Indian police that cracked the case,” informs a source, adding that there are plans to dub it in Telugu and Hindi as well.

Suniel started shooting towards the end of September and hopes to wrap up his portions by the year end. The 58-year-old actor has a lot of chase sequences, which will be shot in Hyderabad adds the source.

Apart from the scam, the film also showcases the tussle between American agencies intent on framing the four Indian boys under US laws, with Suniel’s character fighting to retain their custody in India. In 2007, the actor made a brief appearance in the international film Don’t Stop Dreaming. His upcoming gig will, however, be his first full-fledged role in an international project.
