After the success of Bharat, Disha Patani has signed Ekta Kapoor’s next. And this time she will be seen in the lead, essaying the character of a small-town Punjabi girl. While this is Disha’s first collaboration with Ekta and few details about the movie have been revealed so far, the actor, whose mother tongue is Hindi, has already started prepping for the film.

A source says, “While Disha has already started the basic preparations, we hear that she will be taking language classes and invest two hours from her hectic schedule to learn Punjabi and perfect her dialect for this film.”

Talking about her own preparations for the same, the actor shares, “This film is a crackling comedy and I am excited. I will be essaying the role of a small-town Punjabi girl. I am super enthusiastic to begin my preparations and learn the language. To bring about the beauty and authenticity of my character, I need to make sure that I can bring out the Punjabi in me, not only through my appearance and gestures but also through my dialect.”

Elaborating more about her role, Disha adds, “It is a super interesting character and a comical, quirky story. I am hoping that I’ll be able to do full justice to it. Being my first collaboration with Ekta ma’am, this project is all the more special to me and I am looking forward to the shoot.”
