TJE LION KING was excellent in week two as it collected 44 crore nett and took its two week total to 125 crore nett. The drop in the second week was just 45%. The film will cross the numbers of SUPER 30 this weekend probably and that film was released a week earlier.
The film is the fourth blockbuster of the year after AVENGERS: ENDGAME, KABIR SINGH and URI if we count the Hindi and English films and the fourth highest Hollywood grosser ever in India. The film is also among the top ten biggest ever blockbusters from Hollywood in India.
The film should cross the 150 crore nett mark but to go higher than that will be tough as the big releases on Independence day will bring its collections down.
The collections of The Lion King till date are as follows.
Week One - 80,94,00,000
Friday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 15,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 3,00,00,000 apprx
Wednesday 2,90,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 2,60,00,000 apprx
Second Week- 44,00,00,000
TOTAL - 1,24,94,00,000 aprrx
