KESARI has got huge television numbers on its premiere with 1.5 crore plus impressions. It is the highest for Akshay Kumar starrers in recent times if we don't count 2.0 (Hindi) which is on fire on satellite racking up around 5 crore impressions on 6 peak time viewings.

The numbers are higher than films like TOILET - EK PREM KATHA, PAD MAN, HOUSEFULL 3, GOLD, AIRLIFT etc. The best of this lot was TOILET - EK PREM KATHA with around 1.1 crore impressions. KESARI ranks third for the year after TOTAL DHAMAAL and 2.0 (Hindi) but its minimal margins and KESARI would not have been expected to put up these numbers as its not in that comedy or action genre but a war drama.

It remains to be seen where it goes on the television circuit and maybe the numbers of TOTAL DHAMAAL or 2.0 (Hindi) may be difficult to match but its a HIT for sure on satellite. In the all time list of television premieres it will be among the top ten.
