SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME had a drop in collections on day two and it was not coming of a holiday on Thursday. The opening of the film was good but these big budget Hollywood action films have to open better as they don't sustain for too long.
The film collected around 8.50 crore nett on its second day taking its two day total to 18.25 crore nett. The last SPIDER-MAN film, HOMECOMING, did 60 crore nett apprx in 2017. So this one may be able to do a little better than that if the weekend growth comes but its not going too far.
CAPTAIN MARVEL did 86 crore nett earlier this year and that film did not really find appreciation among the Indian audience. The business for Hollywood has grown considerably in India but the SPIDER-MAN brand is not really growing at the box office.
The business of SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME till date is as follows.
Thursday - 9,75,00,000 apprx
Friday - 8,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 18,25,00,000 apprx
It is crucial for SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME to show solid growth over the weekend as the two day numbers are only decent. There is a cricket match on Saturday but if that does affect then Sunday should be able to show good growth.
