Set in Bihar, Jabariya Jodi sees stars Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra take inspiration from the popular Bhojpuri song, Kashi Hile Patna Hile, for their number, UP Hile Zilla Hile. In an interesting development, the stars will launch the track at Navrang cinema in Andheri tomorrow.
Since the theatre is one of the few outlets in Mumbai that regularly screens Bhojpuri films, Malhotra says it served as an apt venue for the launch. “The song has the flavour of Patna. In a bid to do justice to its vibe, we decided to launch it at Navrang. This track is the remake of an iconic song that belongs to the heartland of India, and we wanted to stick to the roots.” The duo will also put up a short dance performance to promote the Tanishk Bagchi number.
The stars, along with producer Ekta Kapoor and director Prashant Singh, are expected to share details of the launch on their social media handles today to invite fans for the event.
