ARTICLE 15 is a HIT film as it collected 1.15 crore nett on its third Friday and took its business over 53 crore nett. The film has held steady on the third Friday dropping around 55% from last Friday despite the release of a big film like SUPER 30. The film is probably looking at 65 crore nett lifetime business which is a good number. ANDHADHUN did 73 crore nett but this film could beat that film in some circuits as that film was mainly collected in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore.
The collections of ARTICLE 15 till date are as follows.
Week One - 33,74,00,000
Week Two - 18,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 1,15,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 53,14,00,000 apprx
SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME is also a HIT as it collected 2.75 crore nett on its second Friday taking its business to almost 64 crore nett. The film has shown a similar trend to CAPTAIN MARVEL where the weekday collections were not impressive but it has managed to hold on the second Friday. This could be as the 3D version performs strongly over the the Fri-Sun period for these big Hollywood action films.
The hold is very strong considering the release of SUPER 30 and even some of the stronger films fail to show a 15-20% drop on the second Friday from the Thursday.
The collections of SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME till date are as follows.
Week One - 61,00,00,000 apprx (the figures from South versions were a little higher than the previous estimates).
Friday - 2,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAl - 63,75,00,000 apprx
