DE DE PYAAR DE did pretty well in its second week as it collected 21.75 crore nett to take its total to around 78.75 crore nett. The film has not found much appreciation with family or mass audience outside metros which will stop it being an outright HIT. It looked like a HIT film the way it held up on the first Monday and Tuesday but it has not been able to sustain the footfalls.

The film will have lower final collections than LUKA CHUPPI outside metros and East Punjab circuit as that film performed better in the Hindi markets despite DE DE PYAAR DE having a bigger star like Ajay Devgn. The lifetime collection may edge past LUKA CHUPPI due to a much better performance in Mumbai and East Punjab.

The plus was that the film held steady with the release of GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS on Thursday. The other two Hindi films, INDIA'S MOST WANTED and PM NARENDRA MODI, had big falls of 50% and 20% respectively while it was just 10% for DE DE PYAAR DE. This should ensure some decent figures in the third week and it could go to around 90 crore nett.
