Shriya Saran’s last Bollywood appearance was in the thriller Drishyam (2015), which starred Ajay Devgn and Tabu in pivotal roles. In the meanwhile, she has been busy with her film assignments in the South. The actress is currently shooting for her next in Kollywood, which is said to be a remake of the Hollywood film, The Proposal. The film has been tentatively titled Sandakkari.
“Shriya had signed this film a while ago, and the first schedule got over two months ago in London. It’s based on the Malayalam film My Boss, which in turn was a remake of the Sandra Bullock-Ryan Reynolds-starrer The Proposal,” says a source close to the actress, adding, “The next schedule will mostly begin from next month, and Shriya had gone back to Russia from London to be with her husband, Andrei Koscheev. She will join the team next month to resume shoot. The makers are presently finalising the location, and it could mostly be in Chennai or somewhere in coastal Tamil Nadu.”
Her last Tamil film, Naragasooran, is yet to hit the screens.
