Rani Mukerji has donned her khakis again for the sequel of her super-cop drama Mardaani 2, in which she reprises the role of the fearless Shivani Shivaji Roy.

The amber-eyed actress is currently shooting in the blistering summer heat of Rajasthan. It is an action-packed month-long schedule and it primarily requires her to hunt down the merciless villain. The unit is stationed in Kota and it is here that Rani shot a chase sequence under the scorching sun. Not even the 42 degree-temperature could deter her!

A source explained, “It was a long chase. And the sun was beating down hard. We wanted to wrap this shot in one take. And, though Rani is capable of doing so, she deliberately chose to do a couple of takes because it would give the director variations to choose from. The unit could see that she was feeling dehydrated but nothing deterred her. While everyone around was sapped with the heat, Rani’s commitment got the entire team going.”
