Vijay Devarakonda, who played the titular character in Sandeep Vanga’s Telugu hit Arjun Reddy (remade in Hindi as Kabir Singh with Shahid Kapoor), is pairing up with Beyond the Clouds actress Malavika Mohanan for Anand Annamalai’s Hero. The film goes on the floors shortly and will be shot in Telugu. It will also be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.

Revealing that she plays a musician to Vijay’s bike-racer in the film, Malavika told Mirror, “So, it’s got sports, lots of music and drama, an interesting mix. Vijay has a large fanbase across the country and I’m looking forward to teaming up with him. Our director had written the dialogue for Kaaka Muttai (the National Award-winning Tamil comedy-drama), so it’s a great team to work with.”

The actress went on to add that they start shooting in the next few days in Delhi though her portions will be canned in the next schedule in June. Malavika was last seen on the big screen in the Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil film Petta, which also featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Trisha Krishnan.
