Mirror (March 29) had earlier reported that Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabelle will debut opposite Sooraj Pancholi in first-time director Stanley D’costa’s musical, Time To Dance. Now, we have learnt that the film will feature a contemporary version of Salman Khan’s chartbuster, “O O Jaane Jaana” from the 1998 romcom, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. There are two versions of the song, one which forms a part of the film’s narrative and will serve as Sooraj’s introduction. The second is a promotional track featuring Salman and Katrina which will be filmed at a city studio soon. “It’s a modern-day rendition of the original track, and will be shot on lavishly mounted sets,” informed a source close to the development.

Isabelle and Sooraj will also be a part of a promotional track which would be shot in March, once Salman and Katrina have wrapped up their Eid 2019 release, Bharat, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Atul Agnihotri, in a two-day schedule. The reprised version has been composed by Shivai Vyas and sung by Kamaal Khan, the voice of the original song. The original was composed by Jatin-Lalit and is still remembered for Salman’s shirtless avatar and the peppy tunes. “Salman and Katrina’s presence is restricted to the promotional song, the two will not be a part of the film,” added the source.

Time To Dance, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Remo D’souza, will see Isabelle as a competitive ballroom and Latin dancer while Sooraj plays a street dancer. The film features a range of styles. The film, which is set in London, will release in second half of the year.
