GULLY BOY collected very well on Saturday with collections in the 18.50 crore nett range. The film went up around 45% on Saturday and almost to the level where collections were on day one which was Valentines Day.
The metros were similar or even higher as in the case of Bangalore than the first day while the other places where the film is not doing that well were 5-10% less than the first day. The business is very skewed but with this Saturday growth it should be that big metros sustain post the weekend. The contribution from other places is very less so even if they fall more in the weekdays it should not make much of a difference.
The film has crossed the 50 crore nett mark in three days. PADMAAVAT and SIMMBA were 75 crore nett appx in three days but they had wider appeal.
The three day collections of GULLY BOY are as follows..
Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 12,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 50,50,00,000 apprx
The film should be able to show some good growth outside the metros on Sunday as the release is wide so it has been released in places where a ratio of the weekly collections come on a Sunday or a holiday.
