Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is a fascinating entertainer and works for its writing, concept and yes, unique animation. The film instantly zaps viewers into the various worlds shown in the film and the way the Spider People come together for a common cause makes for a great watch. The humour is nicely woven and keeps the interest going. The climax however gets too messy and complicated. Also the animation though great is too gaudy and in-your-face at times. The father-son conflict doesn’t really work well. The actors voicing these characters have all done a fine job and the one who stand out are Shameik Moore, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Nicolas Cage and John Mulaney. All in all, a fine piece of cinema and looking forward to see how the series moves forward!
My rating - *** ½ out of 5!
