The box-office war between Arjun Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan and Sushant Singh Rajput on March 1 has been averted. Their respective films Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar (SAPF), Luka Chuppi and Sonchiriya were slated to hit the marquee on the first day of the next month. However, the collision has been averted with the makers of SAPF looking to lock an alternate release date for the Dibakar Banerjee directorial, which features Parineeti Chopra opposite her Namaste England co-star.

Talking about the reason behind this move, a source says, “A movie of this genre needs a clean run at the box office. SAPF is a thriller and a multiplex fare. The other two movies releasing on March 1 are also targeting a similar set of theatre-going audience. It doesn’t make sense to have a three-way clash. Yash Raj Films is looking at another release date for it. The production house will look at the release schedule closely before arriving at a decision.”
