If you have been following Amit Sadh’s Instagram account, there’s a significant change that you would have noticed. While his impish smile has always been one of his most striking features, it actually reaches his eyes now! Could ladylove Annabel DaSilva be the reason behind it?
The actor, who met the Brazilian fitness model around six months ago and fell head over heels in love with her, agrees, “I’ve never been so happy and I’m grateful to her for that. She’s one of the most amazing human beings I’ve met. She personifies happiness — she’s always smiling. I think I’ve also caught on to the habit.” Admitting to the huge impact his sweetheart has made on his life, Amit shares that her presence has made him a more open person. “Earlier, I was closed and unsure. I hope we can make a difference to each other’s lives, she already has,” he adds.
It’s their first Valentine’s Day together, and the Breathe actor admits that he never believed in the concept before. “Magar pehle main logon ka mazak udata tha, ab mera mazak udd raha hai!” he laughs. With everyone leading such busy lives, he believes there’s no harm in going that extra mile for their loved ones today. The 35-year-old has a day off from shooting, and plans to spend the occasion with Annabel, indulging in stuff that normal people do. “We’ll go to the gym, maybe I’ll cook for her,” he shares. So no grand gestures of love? “Grand gestures sound like something which you need to put a lot of effort into. Things come naturally and easily to us. She’s a great companion and she beats my ass in the gym!” he laughs.
For Amit, Annabel is his sounding board, and he often takes advice from her on how his character should behave onscreen. “We are extremely involved in each other’s lives. As I said, we are a normal couple. When it becomes special, it’s a problem. When you love someone, it should come easily. Annabel has taught me the power of little things,” he mentions.
The duo recently undertook a long road journey on a bike to places like Shimla, Manali, Kashmir and Amritsar, the videos of which he will upload on his social media soon. “I usually hate anybody riding pillion with me. For the first time in my life, I had somebody sitting behind me and I loved it that it was her,” he reveals. Now, Amit is teaching his girlfriend to ride a bike on her own, so that they can go on road trips together. Like he said, it’s the little things that go a long way.
