Content-driven movies took the lead at the box office last year, and new actors rose to prominence with their impressive performances. One such actor was Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, the youngest of the Kapoor clan. He was noticed for his portrayal of the titular character in Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
Harsh has been in the news recently for his candid, mature and honest answers on a popular talk show, where he appeared with his sisters (Sonam K Ahuja and Rhea Kapoor). His steamy shirtless pictures on a microblogging platform, along with his wit and intelligence, have won him many female fans. A ‘sneaker-head’, the young actor has been praised for his fashion choices as well.
Harsh made his Bollywood debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya (2016). His performance was appreciated and bagged him the ‘Best Debutant Award’ at various popular award shows. His next project was Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, a vigilante story of three boys in Mumbai, who grow tired of corruption and decide to bring about change and serve people insaaf (justice). The story takes a serious turn when Harsh’s character dons the mask to become Bhavesh Joshi. The film, now available on a popular streaming platform, has received immense love.
About his upcoming plans, Harsh said, “I am currently preparing for Abhinav Bindra’s biopic, in which I will be starring along with my father. It is a story I am moved by and look forward to. I am also reading some interesting scripts and will finalise my next projects, soon. There are some refreshing ideas and amazing directors, who I can’t wait to work with.”
