SIMMBA had an extraordinary Monday with collections of 21.50 crore nett which took its four day total to nearly 97 crore nett. The film which was being driven Mumbai saw North India show the best growth on Monday as compared to the Friday. The collections in Delhi/UP and East Punjab were up by 15-20% on Monday compared to Friday.
The Monday number is a rare occasion when a film has gone over 20 crore nett on Monday. SIMMBA is the 8th one to go over 20 crore nett and is the second best Monday of 2018 after SANJU. The holiday is on Tuesday for the New Year and the film could go towards its Sunday figure though it could be that much of the growth is in the Monday number as was the case with Christmas Day last week when the all the releases failed to show the growth that is expected on a big holiday.
The film is a SUPER HIT which should be confirmed by the Wednesday numbers and the Friday figure will tell where this film can go.
The collections of SIMMBA till date are as follows.
Friday - 20,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 23,75,00,000 apprx.
Sunday - 31,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 21,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 96,75,00,000 apprx
The film film has now collected 37 crore nett in Mumbai while Delhi/UP is 18.50 crore nett and East Punjab is 8.25 crore nett. CP Berar is another circuit doing excellent business with 4.75 crore nett in four days.
