Actors kicked off their film on Monday with a 15-day schedule, most of which takes place at a luxury hotel

Rajkummar Rao, who ended 2018 on a high with the critical and commercial success of Amar Kaushik’s Stree, kicked off the new year with a new film. The actor and Fatima Sana Shaikh, his co-star in Anurag Basu’s yet-untitled next, which is said to be on the lines of his 2007 directorial, Life In A Metro, started shooting for the film in Bhopal on Monday. “Their portions will be wrapped up in this 15-day schedule. The film narrates four different stories which are set in four small Indian towns,” said a source close to the development.

Mirror has also learnt that a major chunk of the Bhopal schedule will be shot at Saif Ali Khan’s ancestral property, which is now a luxury hotel. Some portions will also be shot on the streets to lend the film a local flavour. “Anurag plans to shoot in 12-hour shifts every day which will begin 2 pm onwards,” the source revealed.

While Raj has five films lined up for the year, Basu’s next is Fatima’s first film since the release of Thugs Of Hindostan.

Mirror had reported that Anurag (Dec 20) has pulled a casting coup by roping in Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pankaj Tripathi for his next. While it was reported that the story featuring Abhishek is set in Kolkata.
